Continuing on the posting series we started last Friday, today we’re taking a closer look at the ins and outs of buying an electric grill for Dad. Although small appliances are a less common appliance to buy for a male versus a female, the grill is the definite exception to the rule, since grilling is often thought of as a “male” cooking method. While most dads like to get outside and use the outdoor grill in the backyard, an indoor contact grill can make a great gift – particularly over the holidays with several months of winter still preventing grilling outdoors.
While buying a grill for mom is all about considering the number of mouths she feeds and how busy of a lifestyle she has, buying a grill for Dad is all about figuring out where and why he’s using it. You want to buy him something that’s going to fit the niche that he’s looking for in using an electric grill.
For instance, if you’re getting an indoor contact grill to satisfy Dad’s grill craving over the winter, your main concern will probably be giving him the biggest cooking surface possible to let him get creative with grilling indoors.
