Friday Night Bites—A Winning Game Day with George Foreman
In a good portion of the country, high school football is pretty much king of Friday night and/or weekend activities. From pep rallies and sendoffs to postgame parties to celebrate victories, a high school football family pretty much has their life centered on the team schedule for the duration of the regular season. Not just the players either—cheerleaders, band members, drill teams, flag cores and pep squads all have their lives consumed by the game for most of the fall.
If you’re a football mom (or band, cheer, etc), your weekly meal plan also has work around the team schedule during the season. Some kids have special meals that are part of their ritual on game day; some get out early on Friday game days, so you have to account for an extra, earlier meal to make sure they’re well-fed to bring home the win. Often, your kids and their friends will need something fun to do after the game and restaurants that are open after the game usually leave something to be desired.
