Feature Focus – Removable Grill Plates
Love your George Foreman grill but hate the time you spend scrubbing between the ribs to get the plates clean? If so, then removable plates should be at the top of your list of important features that you need in a grill!
George Foreman removable plates were specifically designed with easy cleaning in mind. Besides the oil-free cooking benefit of our George Tough™ nonstick coating, it also provides the extra advantage of allowing you to skip the sink and wash the plates directly in your dishwasher. This way, your only after-meal cleanup is dumping the drip tray and throwing it, the plates and the spatula into your dishwasher. It’s that simple.
Some people get concerned that washing the plates in a dishwasher may affect their performance and/or make them wear out faster, but in truth, the worst that the dishwasher will do to your plates is cause a little oxidation on the uncoated side. This doesn’t affect the performance and since it’s the sides of the plates that no one but you will ever see, it doesn’t really hurt the grill appearance either.
