Easy Outdoor Grilling with George Foreman
George Foreman revolutionized indoor grilling with the first ever contact grill. Now we’re taking it outdoors with our unique Indoor/Outdoor Electric Dome Grill (GGR200RDDS).
This versatile grill knocks out the fat from your backyard summer BBQ. Use the 200 square inch grilling surface on top of the pedestal for easy outdoor cooking. The grill plate features our George Tough™ nonstick coating for oil-less cooking. Plus, the grease channel and dip tray drains away fat as you cook.
Don’t let afternoon rain ruin your event. Take the grilling surface off the pedestal and move it inside to the counter—it is specially designed to work both ways.
For more summer favorites, like specialty roasts, the grill has a dome lid with cool-touch handles. Variable temperature controls allows low-heat roasting or high-heat grilling. Afterward, the removable grill plate can be fully immersed in water for easy cleaning.
The Indoor/Outdoor Electric Dome Grill is one of the best products for summer, and it’s available in major retailers nationwide and online.
Build the Best Burger
The humble hamburger has come a long way. This great American comfort food is recently featured in fine dining burger bars and can cost a hefty price for food connoisseurs. You don’t have to look far or be a billionaire to get the best burger—make it at home!
Go layer-by-layer and learn how to build the best burger for you, and your diet.
Buns
Start with the right foundation. For a heartier taste and healthier burger, go with a whole wheat or grain bun instead of white. Using artisan bread like ciabatta or specialty sourdough rolls gives a more upscale taste.
Protein
Beef is the typical meat used for burgers. For a new taste, opt for tuna and salmon burgers, or go for white meat with lean ground pork, turkey or chicken. If you’re committed to red meat, bison is a flavorful alternative with less fat.
Once you’ve made your selection, don’t just shape and slap the patty on the grill. Use dry rubs or liquid marinades to add flavor, and extra nutrition with fresh herbs.
Cheese
If cheeseburgers are your favorite, try using low-fat cheeses to cut the fat. No-fat varieties give an unsatisfying un-melted texture. Further ensure better melting by stuffing the cheese inside for insulation and better consistency.
Toppings
Don’t just stick to the standard lettuce and tomato—iceberg lettuce doesn’t even have a high nutritional value. Spinach and romaine are both high in vitamins and provide a more distinctive taste.
Be creative by going beyond leafy vegetables. Mushrooms give a burger an earthy feel, while spicy and sweet peppers deliver almost any ethnic flavor you crave. Don’t limit yourself to just vegetables either—try fruits like pineapple and mango for a nutritional twist.
Condiments
The perfect condiment always complements and finishes off the best burgers. Use fresh cracked mustard, to homemade specialty spreads with fresh herbs; you can cover the full spectrum of spicy, savory and sweet. Just avoid things like high fat mayonnaise or sugary ketchup.
Stay Healthy with Smart Summer Entertaining
Summer is the season to kick back and enjoy life. As the season of swimsuits though, you want to stay healthy, too. George Foreman helps you achieve your healthy living goals with five tips to smart summer entertaining.
#1 Keep it healthy for you and your guests
Keep your summer party menu healthy with George Foreman. Knock out the fat outside with our indoor/outdoor electric grills. You’ll avoid the hassle of coal and propane, while still enjoying the taste and health-benefits of grilled food. Keep the food light for your next party. Including heavy dishes with thick sauces or a lot of starch and cheeses can weigh guests down.
#2 Plan active parties outdoors
Summer allows a variety of outdoor activities that make any party an event. If your backyard is adequate, you can do volleyball, badminton or touch-football games with friends and neighbors. If you don’t have a yard, head to the park, pool or the beach—you can still keep the meal healthy with a George2Go™ Propane Grill.
#3 Avoid empty calories with unhealthy party drinks
Adding empty calories is easy with all the unhealthy summer-time party drinks. Instead, make your own blends with fresh fruits and juices. Do smoothies for the kids, or make adult-appropriate sangria or frozen drinks—all including a serving of fruit.
#4 Split up leftovers to avoid snacking & overeating
As the party ends, ask if anyone would like to-go boxes. Sending guests home with leftovers helps you avoid the dangers of late-night snacking and overeating because of a packed fridge.
#5 Create special events for eating well
During the summer, you can find farms open to public picking. Make memories with the kids or a group of friends, and create an all-day event out of a meal. First head to the farm then bring it home to make a farm-fresh meal. For proteins, utilize public fishing areas. Take the kids out on the water for family fun and some of the freshest grilled fish you’ll ever taste.
