Variable Temperature Control Grills
Feature Focus: Variable Temperature Control

Slide Temperature Control
As optional features on George Foreman grills go, variable temperature control is a must have for anyone that cooks a variety of foods on their grill – beyond just the usual steak, chicken and burgers. Although not all of our indoor electric grills offer variable temperature, for grilling fanatics it’s almost a necessity as you work to achieve the results you really want on your plate.
With variable temperature control, you’re able to adjust the thermostat for the grill’s embedded heating elements to better suit the type of food you’re cooking. Although you can cook fish at the same temperature as you would cook meat and poultry, the finished product may not have both the interior and exterior color and texture that you wanted. To get perfectly cooked food on the inside, you may have to cook the exterior more than you would like. With variable temperature control, you can lower temperature being transferred through the plates so you get the results you want both inside and out.

Dishwasher-Safe Grill Accessories
Feature Focus: Dishwasher-Safe Custom Grill Accessories
Grill accessories may seem like a small thing, but they can make a big difference in how easy it is to prepare, cook, serve and clean when you’re using your George Foreman grill. Not only that, they’re part of what makes the George Foreman grills able to let you cook healthier with less hassle.

All George Foreman grills include a custom drip tray and spatula
All George Foreman products come with a custom drip tray and spatula that are specially designed to fit that electric grill model. For this reason, if you lose or damage your drip tray and/or spatula, we recommend ordering replacements through our parts service at 1-800-738-0245. Don’t simply try to substitute ones from another model because they won’t work as well – particularly for the drip tray that catches grease and fat all along the front sloped section of your grill.
So what’s so great about these accessories?
First, they’re dishwasher-safe, so you can simply toss them in the top rack of your dishwasher after you’re done cooking to minimize the time you spend on cleanup after the meal. Just remember to always let the drip tray cool a little before you empty it, to avoid touching hot grease.

The drip tray helps knock out the fat, as the spatula makes plating food easy
The drip tray is particularly good because it works with our patented sloped design to the work for you in knocking out the fat. The tray covers the entire width of the front of your grill, so as the patented slope lets the grease drain, the drip tray catches it without you needing to scrape or try and move the grease in a particular direction.
As for the spatula, it’s specially designed to fit perfectly with the George Foreman grill ribs so you can place and remove food from the grill plate without a hassle. Instead of trying to poke your food with a fork or catch it with a pair of tongs, you can simply slip the edge of the spatula under the food and place or remove it. It’s also completely safe to use with our George Tough™ nonstick surface, so you won’t scratch, cut or mar the nonstick coating. This extends the life of your grill, so you can have peace of mind that you’re getting the most out of your product for years to come.
Adjustable Angle Grills
Feature Focus: Adjustable Angle on George Foreman Grills
Up to this point in our Feature Focus series, we’ve talked about the features that are included with every George Foreman grill – the basic features that make a grill a George Foreman. Now, were going to start focusing on some of our more unique features that make some of our grills unique in the George Foreman line.
The adjustable angle feature on George Foreman grills allows you to change the position of your grill from flat to sloped, depending on the type of food you’re cooking and the results you want to achieve. This way, you can use the patented angle of the George Foreman slope to knock out the fat as you grill, or switch the grill to a flat position for even cooking if you’re baking, using a griddle plate, making waffles or cooking quesadillas.

George Tough Nonstick Coating
Feature Focus: George Tough™ Nonstick Coating
It’s time for another look at how George Foreman grills are designed to help you cook healthier without a hassle. This month, our Feature Focus takes a closer look at the George Tough™ nonstick coating.
While almost any contact grill you buy nowadays will have a nonstick coating, the quality of the coating can be drastically different and can affect the performance and durability of your grill. A bad nonstick coating can peel after washing or scrubbing and a low-quality nonstick coating may still require oil or butter to prevent delicate foods from sticking to the plate during cooking. These two factors make getting a grill with a high-quality nonstick coating vital to grilling healthier and to extending the life of your grill.
Every George Foreman grill comes with our George Tough™ nonstick coating, which provides several benefits in the way it’s designed to work.

George Tough Nonstick Coating helps prevent sticking on delicate foods
First, the quality of our coating helps ensure you don’t need to season the cooking surface with oil or butter when cooking your foods – even for delicate foods like veggies and fish. You can simply put the food directly on the grill and avoid the added fat and calories of the oil or butter.
The second benefit comes in our multi-coat system. Our George Tough™ nonstick isn’t just applied once. Instead, it’s coated multiple times to help protect against cracking and peeling. This extends the life of your grill, plus allows you to wash the grill plates in the dishwasher if your grill has removable plates. In other words, you spend less time cleaning and get more uses out of your grill, overall.
We believe in our nonstick coating so much that we had it tested against a major competitor to see how the coatings stack up. The test was done using the Next Grilleration G5 with the George Tough™ triple nonstick versus a major competitor’s grill. Each grill plate was run through the same abrasion test that scrubs the plates back and forth to test the wear. The competitor’s coating wore out after 7000 scrubs, while the George Tough™ triple nonstick on the G5 was still good after 150,000 scrubs.

So, the George Tough™ nonstick coating is specifically designed to help you cook healthier without oil/butter, extend the life of your grill and minimize cleanup – it’s three benefits from one feature.
