Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best George Foreman I've had yet! We've had this one for over a year now and by far the best one. We've been buying George Foreman grills for about 20 years and generally 3 years is time for a new one. They get used quite a bit. My favorite thing to cook on it is bacon! The grease drips into the tray, and it's not scalding hot to dump when done. The bacon comes out great, I think even better than in the oven(tried it several times). I love that the evolve makes a good Panini press too! I also got rid of my waffle maker with this one too. A very versatile kitchen tool. The ceramic plates are great. I only have one complaint and this has happened to all my George Foreman grills. The upper plate(only) gets a build up in the middle of a burnt on substance. I never could get it off on the others, but with the ceramic plates it cleans up quickly with a magic eraser. That's the only thing I find that works and doesn't hurt the finish. Nothing seems to stick, a little cooking spray for most foods is all you need and not for all foods either.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Non Lasting Non Stick Plates I purchased this as a gift to myself 6 months ago. I have been using George Foreman products for many years and never had an issue. I’ve even gifted several to my kids as gifts for college. I can’t say the same for this unit. I am highly disappointed with the quality of the non stick surface. Worked great at first but as time went in the non stick has lost its non stick ability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it I've been reading the reviews here and I can't say that I've been even close to as unlucky as others appear to have been. I've been using my Evolve for 2 years now and, aside from some minor signs of expected wear, the plates have held up just fine and nothing ever sticks to it so long as I use a non-stick spray (as suggested by the product instructions) prior to every use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Extremely Poor Non Stick Surface after lasted bare As a long time loyal George Foreman grill user greatly disappointed with this new grill. The non stick surface does not last at all barley over one month and now everything sticks to it. Sure not the quality of their older models that would last a few years. The top grill surface went first and then the bottom followed very soon.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Non-stick plates do NOT last well. I ordered this grill from Amazon in December, 2017. Also a full collection of interchangeable accessories. Used it probably 20 times, mostly with the standard ridged ceramic plates to grill burgers or chops. Always hand-wash my plates with mild detergent and a non-scratch sponge. My last couple of rounds of burgers were ruined because they now stick to the ceramic plates. Everything sticks now and is getting worse. Renders the grill unusable. Saw several reviews on Amazon when I went back there to post one that said the same thing happened to them after a few uses. Should not have to oil or shortening these plates each time, and can't see spending more $ for replacements, so it just takes up space on the counter now. Very disappointed, and wish I would have seen others' reviews about the same before I bought, so thought I should post my experience here, in case it helps someone.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Was wonderful at first. I have the red one. It was wonderful at first. After ordering new plates because we broke one of the handles, the new top plate sticks to all food. The bottom is still great. We have to scrape everything off of the top and try to keep from getting burned and not let the food fall to the floor.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I loved how it cooked everything I didn't use mine very much only when I wanted to fix a steak, fish, or chicken. Maybe a dozen (plus or minus) meals. I had it five months and it gave up. I think it is the design of the model. The buttons you push for it are not solid but soft to the touch and hard to know when they have been pushed.I was hoping for a longer life as I have had these grills for many years and never a problem with any of them.I liked the fact that you could remove the plates as it made it much easier to clean. Food washed right off and never a problem. I forgot one time to take them out to wash and weeks later the food just slid off easily. I never washed them in a dishwasher but by hand. That could possibly be the clue with some people saying they did not get clean.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hard to clean Bought this grill about a year ago and I don’t like to use it because everything sticks to it ( I feel the same way abi and family feels a few reviews down) there is nothing non stick about this grill. I didn’t use it when I first bought it so by the time I did use it and realized it wasn’t as nonstick as it proclaimed to be it was to late to take it back. the top plate was worse than the bottom in the beginning and now even the bottom plate sticks. Cleaning after cooking is even worse. I am also realizing that the food takes longer to cook than on my older George Forman the only reason I switched was because I wanted a bigger one now I wish I had just stuck with the old one. The waffle plates work great and they are actually nonstick. Since I am stuck with it now I decided to try to come to the web site to try to find a different nonstick plates like the waffle ones and seen the reviews and decided I would give warning about this grill. The only reason I gave it a 2 was because the waffle plates work great.
