Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like the grill but no instruction manual I bought this grill for my husband because he liked cooking on our old George Foreman grill but it was a pain to clean because the plates weren't removable. I had wanted to throw the old grill away several times due to cleaning issues. It took me longer to clean it than to cook on it. We like the new grill and the ease of cleaning, but it didn't come with an instruction manual. We have no idea what temperature to set the grill to cook anything. Our hamburgers came out terrible. We are having a hard time finding the instruction guide online for cooking with the temperature control. So far no luck. I would urge the company to please put an instruction manual in with the grills with instructions as to what temperature to cook mea or fish.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from unhappy purchase I purchased this grill and used it about 8 times. The digitals on it quit working: no numbers on the timer and the temp only flashed continuously no matter how long it was on, plus it would beep from time to time. They replaced it as it was under warranty, I should have just returned for refund because the one they sent was not the same: the plates are really rough, the unit has dents in it and it does not have the original logo on it that my grill has. I am not happy with this at all.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from plates do not stay on grill I bough this product thinking it will be good for cooking hamburgers inside and easy to clean. It was good at cooking hamburgers and easy to clean. I like being able to take off the plates and putting them in the sink. it is a lot easier then to take the plates of then washing it when they are still connected. The plates do not hook on very well the top plate would fall off all the time we thought it was just us not getting it on right but it just dose not want to stay on.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I agree, I does not get hot enough I bought this to replace my original Forman Grill.Today I'm cooking boneless skinless chicken breasts. I have the grill at maximum heat, they have been on for 19 minutes and are still pink in the middle.Very disappointed in this grill.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good but could be much better This is my third GF grill exactly like this one. My only complaint is that the Teflon coating of the plates bubbles up after 2-3 years of careful use---no metal cleaning or serving instruments have ever been used on these plates. Obviously I like the product but I find this frustrating.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Steamed This model will not produce enough heat to "grill". Meats are steamed and take quite some time. The preheat signal for 425 degrees sounds after 4 minutes but the grill does not actually reach 425, ever. Cleaning is easier than other models.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not hot enough and too slow to heat up We originally purchased this grill about 10 years ago. It worked reasonably well and we used it often for cooking bacon and grilling meats. We thought it would be better if the grill went to 450 degrees, but it did the job. The heating elements and grill surface were wearing out, so we purchased a new grill to replace it. Although it is basically the same design, we noticed the grill plates were better attached, but this unit only came with one drip tray and no special scraper. However, this grill takes 9 minutes to get to 400 degrees and only made it to 425 once in three uses. At 400 degrees, it takes a very long time to grill bacon and other meats, and there is no searing on the surface. The old grill went to 425 in about 3-4 minutes and definitely seared the meats. It seems others are having similar temperature problems with newer models, so we are returning this unit and not asking for an exchange.
