HAM AND CHEESE WAFFLES

Ham and cheddar cheese are folded into the batter to make for an extra-special breakfast dish.

INGREDIENTS

  • ½ cup (1 stick) butter, softened
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1½ cups flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • ⅛ tsp. salt
  • 1 cup ham, diced
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, finely shredded

DIRECTIONS

Attach upper and lower waffle plates and preheat Grill & Broil to 400°F.

In medium bowl, cream butter with hand mixer. Mix in milk and eggs until combined.

Add flour, baking powder and salt. Mix to combine.

Fold in ham and cheese.

Pour ⅔ cup batter into center of each waffle plate and cook for 7-8 minutes, or until waffles are golden brown.

Remove waffles and place on wire rack to cool. Repeat with remaining batter.
