AIR FRYER PORK APPLE MEATBALLS

Classic Combo Turned Upside Down: Pork and apples have long been a classic combination. But turn them into meatballs and dip them in a dark sweet sauce and you’ve got yourself a new-age mashup.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb. (80/20) ground pork
  • ¾ cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • ½ large fuji apple, peeled & finely diced
  • 2 Tbsp. honey
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a medium-sized bowl, mix together all meatball ingredients. Form into 26 balls.
  2. Place meatballs in the drum and fit the lid on top. Insert into the bowl.
  3. Note: you can also use the baking rack in the high position.
  4. Tap the air fry button and set temperature to 425°F and fry for 15-17 minutes. If frying with the baking rack, fry for 12-13 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, stir together dipping sauce ingredients. Dip warm meatballs in the dipping sauce.
